Colorado Springs, CO, and Coventry, United Kingdom, 10 January 2022

International arts management consultancy TRG Arts today announced plans to rationalise its UK operation. The staff of UK-based TRG Arts Limited and Purple Seven will come together to form a single UK team.

The initial stages of the merger are planned to take place during the first quarter of 2022. Purple Seven’s Managing Director David Brownlee will lead Purple Seven through this stage of the process and then depart in April 2022.

He commented: ‘I’m extremely proud of what the Purple Seven team has achieved in the last two years. Not only have we kept a business viable and profitable in very difficult times, to support the sector’s recovery we have also provided valuable additional free products and services to hundreds of arts organisations as well as industry bodies, funders and central government.’

‘I have long believed that TRG Arts and Purple Seven are a great fit. Together they can provide invaluable support to arts and culture organisations around the world. I wish the merged operation well as I look forward to exploring exciting new career opportunities over the coming months.’

TRG Chief Executive Officer Jill S. Robinson said: ‘David Brownlee introduced TRG Arts and Purple Seven years ago with the belief that our values and intentions were the same—to provide results-driven tools and counsel to the global arts and cultural sector. He couldn’t have been righter. Purple Seven’s founders, Stuart and Lisa Nicolle, and I confirmed this during our recent partnership. TRG’s plan for its combined UK operations is designed to ensure that this merger is sustainable for the field and exciting for our combined teams for the long-term.’

She added: ‘David has played a pivotal and significant role in TRG’s business development in the UK and Europe since the Company entered these territories, as well as Purple Seven’s creativity and viability in the toughest of times these past two years. We enjoy him as a colleague and friend, and we anticipate exciting career opportunities for him moving forward. We wish him every best thing.’

TRG Arts have commenced recruitment for a new post of Managing Director, UK & Europe. More information can be found at https://trgarts.com/careers.
